Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Nong-O Hama to Clash in ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix Quarterfinals

Two Thai icons, formerly dominant in separate weight classes, are set to finally meet. Only one will advance from the opening round of ONE’s new tournament.

Rodtang Jitmuangnon faces fellow former champion Nong-O Hama in a quarterfinal bout of the 2026 ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix. The fight is scheduled for Friday, November 13, at The Inner Circle 38. The victor will move closer to earning the silver belt and a direct challenge for the reigning ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion, Asadula “The Dagestan Ninja” Imangazaliev.

The two fighters were initially slated to compete at ONE 173 last November. However, Rodtang was hospitalized during fight week with illness, necessitating a postponement.

Rodtang, currently ranked #2, then competed in kickboxing against Takeru “Natural Born Krusher” Segawa, whose retirement bout took place at ONE SAMURAI 1 in April. After stopping Takeru in their first encounter within 80 seconds, Rodtang was defeated by fifth-round TKO in their rematch.

Returning to Muay Thai under ONE, Rodtang is one victory away from achieving 275 career wins. He holds a record of five successful title defenses from his prior reign as flyweight champion.

Nong-O, ranked #3, held the bantamweight division title through seven consecutive defenses before moving to flyweight. The 39-year-old fighter has accumulated 268 career victories.

His March loss to Imangazaliev was a brief setback before he defeated Kongthoranee Sor Sommai in their trilogy bout at The Inner Circle 20.

This matchup pits Rodtang’s persistent forward pressure against Nong-O’s strategic approach, characterized by his potent right kick.

Shimon Yoshinari Faces Ramadan Ondash in Prodigy Clash

The same event will feature #4-ranked Shimon Yoshinari. The 22-year-old former WBC Muay Thai World Champion boasts a 27-1 record and remains undefeated in ONE Championship. His unanimous decision victory over Johan “Jojo” Ghazali at ONE SAMURAI 1 secured him a US$100,000 contract. He followed this with a knockout win against Suablack Tor Pran49 in front of a home crowd at ONE SAMURAI 3.

In the opposing corner is #5-ranked Ramadan “The Scorpion” Ondash, a 19-year-old knockout artist from Tiger Muay Thai with a 14-4 record. After a close loss to Aliff Sor Dechapan, who is now the interim strawweight king, Ondash has secured wins against Suriyanlek Por Yenying and Ghazali. This fight presents a challenge for Shimon’s southpaw precision against Ondash’s rapid hand speed.
