Overwatch’s June 2026 celebration for LGBTQI+ Pride Month will be a familiar yet welcome event. While returning decorations and content from previous years are back, players can also look forward to a brand-new skin and spray, both available for free.
The maps of Midtown and Toronto will once again be adorned with traditional rainbow flags and colorful confetti to mark the occasion.
Starting June 1st and throughout the entire month, all players who log into Overwatch will receive the new “Daydreamer Lifeweaver” skin along with a spray featuring a fresh design.
These aren’t the only rewards. If you missed them before, you’ll also receive last year’s Soldier: 76 skin, a collection of player icons representing various orientation flags, and dedicated player cards for some of the game’s LGBTQI+ heroes.
Blizzard stated in their official announcement that the event is about “making space to feel proud, to be present, and to celebrate the diverse community that makes Overwatch what it is. The fight for a better future has always included everyone. You belong here, and we are proud to fight alongside you.”
However, it’s important to note that this celebration is not available in all regions. In countries like Russia and some Arab nations, players cannot participate in the event, leading to criticism of hypocrisy. Similar to previous years, some players argue that Blizzard isn’t doing enough to support the community and that the initiative amounts to “rainbow washing.” The exclusion of the event in regions where the community needs the most support is seen as evidence of this.
Overwatch is a free-to-play game with optional in-game purchases, available on various platforms including PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
