Liverpool has decided against allowing goalkeeper Alisson Becker to leave during the summer transfer window. This decision will compel Juventus to seek alternative reinforcements in the goalkeeper position for the 2026-27 season.
According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, Alisson will not be departing Liverpool this summer. While Alisson’s contract was automatically extended by an additional season, taking it through to 2027, he had reportedly held discussions with Juventus and his former Roma coach, Luciano Spalletti, regarding a potential transfer to the Allianz Stadium.
Initially, it appeared Alisson might be leaving Liverpool. However, recent indications from Italian media suggest the club has grown increasingly reluctant to part ways with their established goalkeeper. Romano confirms that Liverpool has officially communicated their decision to Alisson’s representatives, affirming their intention to retain his services for at least another season.
In light of Alisson’s continued presence at Anfield, speculation suggests that Liverpool might consider loaning out Giorgi Mamardashvili. The Georgian international has reportedly been offered to several Serie A clubs, including Juventus and Inter Milan.
Meanwhile, other Italian sources, such as Tuttosport, propose that Fiorentina’s David De Gea could be a viable alternative for Juventus as they plan to replace Michele Di Gregorio in the 2026-27 campaign.
