Riot Games has released the patch notes for update 1.2.1 for 2XKO, arriving on May 12, 2026. This update introduces buffs, nerfs, and bug fixes, with a particular focus on enhancing the duo gameplay experience. The patch aims to improve combat flow after a teammate is knocked out, and to standardize defensive and comeback mechanics.

Ahri

Category Detail
Status No balance changes.
Bug Fix Orb of Deception (Two-Hand Super Attack) is now correctly destroyed upon performing a Break, even if a Support Action is hit first.
Bug Fix Spirit Rush (any direction + kick) now chains correctly in rare situations involving screen-blocking.
Bug Fix Fixed a rare issue where Charm (Ultimate Attack) did not correctly trigger the cinematic.

Akali

Bug Fix Charged Twilight Reaper (heavy) no longer connects with an airborne opponent not in a combo. This removes an almost unblockable lift option.
Bug Fix Active frames for Charged Twilight Reaper have been reduced from 2 to 1. Fixed an issue where the animation would break when connecting the charged command grab while Akali was off-screen due to a tag-out.
Bug Fix Nightfall Ascension (Ultimate Attack) no longer shows the opponent in front of the smoke.
Bug Fix Cleaned up visuals for Sunset Descent (heavy Support Action) and corrected stats in the Collection tab.

Caitlyn

Buff Tactical Dive (medium) can now be cancelled into Enticing Trap before making contact. This provides an escape option against Break.
Bug Fix Enforcer Hexshield (Two-Hand Super Attack) is usable sooner after it leaves the edge of the screen.

Darius

Buff Coward’s Bane (heavy) pushes back less on airborne block, allowing for more neutral pressure. The opponent will now land faster.
Buff Block and recovery for Apprehend (heavy) > medium reduced by 2.
Buff Apprehend (heavy) > medium pushes back more on airborne block, making it safe and allowing for new combo routes.
Bug Fix Fixed rare bugs where opponents would float after Apprehend and incorrect falls in Happy Birthday situations.

Illaoi

Nerf Recovery for Prayer in Stagnation (heavy with tentacle) increased by 6 frames to allow for counterplay.
Nerf Hitbox size on Faith in Motion (airborne medium) attack reduced. Her hurtbox has been increased while falling.
Bug Fix Fixed bugs with tentacle displacement and deactivation during and after Wrath of Nagakabouros (Two-Hand Super Attack).

Jinx

Buff Watch Your Head! (medium) is now cancelable into Super Attacks and Specials on the frame it connects. This prevents accidental Support Action calls when trying to activate Team Combat.
Bug Fix Flame Chompers! (heavy) now correctly hits both characters (Happy Birthday).
Bug Fix Fixed issues with Zap! (light) meter and sound persistence on Zaaaapp! (Two-Hand Super Attack).

Vi

Buff Axe-Handle Crash (heavy) is now cancelable into Super Attacks on impact, facilitating the transition into Team Combat.

Warwick

Category Detail
Buff Attack start-up for Primal Leap > Snare (light > light) reduced from 21 to 18 frames. Recovery reduced by 5 frames on connect.
Buff Improved hitstop on Savage Slashes (medium) on counterhit. The final hit now causes KO on counterhit, allowing for combo confirmation and OTG use.
Buff Damage scaling for No Escape (heavy Support Action) reduced; it now only scales on the first and last hits.
Buff Airborne medium hitstun increased by 1; it now connects with airborne heavy.
Bug Fix Charged heavy now correctly breaks armor on the first impact.

Other Characters

Character Adjustments
Blitzcrank Fix: Removed Ultimate Attack usage while off-screen from a tag-out and synchronized the sound for the backward grab.
Braum Fix: Stand Behind Me (medium Support Action) no longer walks to the wrong side after a cross-up.
Yasuo Fix: Heavy hit no longer forces the opponent to stand up if they were crouching.
Ekko / Teemo No changes in this patch.
