While the second season of Amazon’s Fallout series didn’t quite capture the magic of the first, our interest in the adventures of Lucy, Max, and the Ghoul remains strong, and we’ll definitely be tuning in for season 3. In fact, we have some exciting news about this upcoming season: a well-known actor, particularly recognized for his role in Breaking Bad, has joined the cast.
According to Deadline, actor Aaron Paul is set to join the cast of the Fallout series in its third season, portraying a character whose identity has not yet been revealed. Beyond his iconic role in Breaking Bad, Paul is also remembered for his work in Westworld (a series also produced by Jonathan Nolan) and as the voice of Todd in Bojack Horseman.
This is not Paul’s first foray into the world of video games. In 2014, he starred in the film adaptation of Need for Speed, and in 2025, he lent his voice to Robert in the acclaimed game Dispatch.
Beyond Aaron Paul’s casting, here’s what else we know about Fallout season 3: it might be set in the Colorado region (a significant location in the game Fallout Tactics), where the Ghoul will continue his search for his family. We might also see an enhanced version of Liberty Prime, recreated by the Brotherhood of Steel.
Further details emerging suggest that we could follow the individual storylines of Lucy, the Ghoul, and Max separately. Additionally, actors Annabel O’Hagan (Stephanie Harper) and Dave Register (Chet) are expected to have more prominent roles.
This new season is anticipated to premiere in mid-2027 or later that same year.
