Deep Silver and King Art Games have unveiled the second of four planned CGI narrative sequences for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV. This installment focuses on the Adeptus Mechanicus and their relentless pursuit of ancient technology. Making their debut in the Dawn of War series, the Adeptus Mechanicus are introduced as a new playable faction.

Following the previous CGI chapter, each sequence serves as an introduction to one of the four playable factions. This time, the spotlight is on the Adeptus Mechanicus, the devout servants of the Omnissiah, driven by an unyielding quest for lost knowledge and ancient technology.

The Adeptus Mechanicus CGI trailer follows Magos Dominus Nulpherus-1 and a fellow Tech-Priest as they descend into what they believe to be a long-buried Necron tomb, fueled by their pursuit of forgotten lore. Initially, the structure appears dormant, its secrets awaiting discovery. However, as the pair venture deeper, it becomes chillingly clear: the tomb is far from silent.

Necron forces begin to awaken, transforming a calculated exploration into a chaotic firefight amidst crumbling ruins. With the situation rapidly escalating, Magos Nulpherus-1 is forced into a desperate retreat. Salvation arrives in the form of Sicarian Ruststalkers, who carve a path through the darkness, allowing the Adeptus Mechanicus to narrowly escape. What began as a mission of discovery quickly devolves into a desperate battle for survival.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV does not yet have a release date for PC (Steam).
