Following the announcement that France will host the men’s Rugby World Cup in 2031, it has been revealed that the women’s equivalent will be held in Japan in 2030. This marks the first time the tournament will be hosted in Asia since the 2002 edition, which was held in China.
The games of the competition are scheduled to take place in Tokyo from November 26 to December 8, 2030. This decision was influenced by the successful organization of the 2020 Olympic Games, also held in the Japanese capital. It also presents a significant opportunity for the national team to secure its sixth consecutive participation.
