For months, it was an open secret that Overwatch would be collaborating with Fortnite. We even had early indications of which characters would be part of the ‘crossover.’ Now, it has been officially confirmed, and we can finally see how the skins for D.Va, Mercy, Genji, and Tracer will look when they become available. This collaboration is part of the celebration for Blizzard’s game’s tenth anniversary.
Epic Games has released a new video confirming that these outfits will arrive in the store on Thursday, May 14, 2026, coinciding with the start of Act III of the current season. The video depicts the Overwatch Heroes “answering the call” for help from Jonesy and Fishstick, who are cornered by the Ice King and his minions.
You can get a closer look at the skins in the following promotional image. As you can see, these outfits are not based on the original designs but rather on the ones released for Overwatch 2, which has drawn some criticism. Genji’s original appearance is particularly missed, as many feel it was superior.
In addition to the skins for D.Va, Mercy, Genji, and Tracer, the collaboration between Overwatch and Fortnite is expected to introduce the new point of interest, King’s Row (inspired by the map from Blizzard’s game), which will replace Tilted Towers on the map.
This new zone is slated to arrive in the game on the same date, May 14th, along with the new outfits.
We will update this article soon with a more comprehensive look at all the skins and new cosmetic items from Overwatch.
