Originally released for PC in mid-2022, the Peruvian independent studio’s charming 2D action-platformer, simply titled Mago, is preparing for a console debut. This engaging title draws inspiration from beloved classics like the Kirby series and more recent indie hits such as the acclaimed Shovel Knight. For those who missed its initial PC launch, an opportunity to experience Mago is on the horizon. The game will soon move beyond its PC exclusivity with a new, enhanced special edition slated for release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch in the fourth quarter of 2026.
This revamped version, named Mago: Hyperdelicious, will also be available on PC. Key enhancements in this edition include:
- New Post-Game World: The Dream World introduces its own map, four new bosses, collectible items, three new outfits, fresh mechanics, and a level inspired by The Legend of Zelda.
- New Easy Mode: This mode can be activated at any time, offering double health, a grace period before instant death upon falling, and checkpoint orbs that are not consumed.
- Auto-Run Functionality: This feature streamlines movement through the game’s levels.

Mago: Hyperdelicious will not be exclusively a digital release. Partnering with Selecta Vision, two physical editions of the game will be available for purchase on November 30, 2026: a standard edition and a ‘Gourmet Box’ for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. The ‘Gourmet Box’ includes:
- Deluxe packaging
- Physical game copy
- Diorama
- Postcards
- Manual
For those eager to play the original version, Mago is currently available on PC via Steam.
