Inter Milan was ready to pursue Liverpool outcast Federico Chiesa last summer, contingent on Roma acquiring Luis Henrique, according to Fabrizio Romano. Chiesa, who joined Liverpool from Juventus in 2024, has remained firm in his desire to stay, despite limited playing time. He was not included in the Champions League squad, and a move in January appears likely should he eventually agree to a transfer.
Romano, citing Tuttomercatoweb, reported that Inter identified the 28-year-old Italian international as a cost-effective substitute if Luis Henrique had moved to Roma. This transfer never materialized, and the Brazilian stayed with Roma, a year after his €22.8 million plus add-ons transfer from Olympique Marseille.
