Following the EuroLeague’s lead, the EuroCup is embarking on an expansion, which will lead to a more demanding yet potentially less taxing schedule for participating clubs. This change presents a significant challenge for teams like JL Bourg as they aim for a consecutive title.
The competition will now feature 32 teams, divided into four groups of eight clubs each. The top four teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, which will commence with the Round of 16. All playoff rounds, including the final, will be contested in a best-of-three series format.
In addition to JL Bourg, Le Mans will also compete under this revamped format. AS Monaco could potentially join them, depending on the final confirmation of their EuroLeague status for the upcoming season.
