Pokémon Home Update: Latin Spanish Support, Legends Z-A & Champions Connection Details

The highly anticipated connection between Pokémon Home and Pokémon Legends: Z-A is now live, available since April 2nd, following maintenance on the night of April 1st in the Americas. This essential update (version 4.0.0) is required to access Pokémon Home's new features, which is available on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android mobile devices.

A significant highlight of this update is the addition of Latin American Spanish as a supported language. Mobile users will only be able to select this option the very first time they launch the application after updating to version 4.0.0. If the app is closed during the language confirmation process, the selection screen will reappear upon reopening.

Limitations for Pokémon Home Connectivity with Pokémon Legends: Z-A

When linking Pokémon Home with Pokémon Legends: Z-A, important limitations have been established:

• Pokémon captured in Pokémon Legends: Z-A cannot be transferred to previous Pokémon games.
• Pokémon transferred *from* an older game *to* Pokémon Legends: Z-A cannot be returned to their original game; they will remain permanently in Z-A.
• Don't forget to claim Alpha Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile when linking Pokémon Home with Pokémon Legends: Z-A on Switch / Switch 2.

Pokémon Home Connection with Pokémon Champions

The integration of Pokémon Home with Pokémon Champions is set for April 8th, operating under a strict "visit" system with specific transfer and locking rules:

• Up to 30 Pokémon can be sent simultaneously to Pokémon Champions.
• A maximum of 1000 Pokémon can be stored within Champions.
• While a Pokémon is visiting Champions, it will be locked in Pokémon Home, preventing its trade or transfer to other games until it is manually returned from the Champions interface.
• "Visiting" Pokémon will continue to occupy a space in Pokémon Home.
• To send more than 30 Pokémon to Champions at once, a Pokémon Home Premium subscription and a storage expansion within Pokémon Champions will be required.
