Rise of the Tomb Raider Collector's Edition for Switch 2: A Disappointing Physical Release
Limited Run Games has announced a physical edition of Rise of the Tomb Raider for the Nintendo Switch 2. This cartridge release includes a standard edition for $50 USD and a collector's edition for $100 USD. The collector's edition features a steelbook case, a Trinity patch, and a light-up desk ornament replicating the Divine Source. For comparison, the Xbox One edition of Rise of the Tomb Raider, and its PS4 counterpart, contained similar items.
Notably, Limited Run Games and Aspyr have omitted a Lara Croft figure from this release, which comes as no surprise.
Journey with Lara through Siberia to the lost city of Kitezh on her most dangerous adventure yet. Uncover ancient secrets and race against the secret society Trinity to find the Divine Source, rumored to grant immortality. Outwit Trinity's paramilitary forces and explore treacherous environments.
Prove your worthiness as a Croft heir by overcoming enemies with makeshift supplies and Lara's versatile arsenal. Engage in combat or use stealth to eliminate Trinity soldiers. Gather resources to craft essential gear and enhance Lara's abilities. Find weapon parts and ancient texts to create specialized ammunition needed to survive nature and Trinity's forces.
This complete edition bundles all downloadable content (DLC) and exclusive material: Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch, The Cold Darkness Awakens, Blood Ties, Lara's Nightmare, Endurance Mode, and Co-op Endurance Mode. It also includes eight DLC outfits, seven DLC weapons, 35 expedition cards, the Extreme Survivor difficulty, five classic Lara Croft skins, and the Antarctica outfit (a reimagined version from Tomb Raider III).
