During AnimeJapan 2026, Netflix unveiled the official trailer and new details about the anime adaptation of "Dandelion," the debut one-shot by Hideaki Sorachi, the acclaimed creator of "Gintama." This adaptation brings to the screen a work originally published in 2002, offering fans a unique glimpse into the author's creative origins.

"Dandelion" is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on Thursday, April 16, 2026, and will consist of seven episodes. The voice cast includes prominent seiyuu such as Mamoru Miyano and Kazuhiko Inoue, along with the return of Tomokazu Sugita, Daisuke Sakaguchi, and Rie Kugimiya, the three main voice actors from "Gintama," performing new roles specific to "Dandelion." The soundtrack will feature the song "Goron to Doron" by Kocchi no Kento.
