Mina: Dead by Daylight's Virtual K-Pop Idol & The Trickster's Female Counterpart
The latest 'ALL-KILL Comeback' chapter for Dead by Daylight has arrived, featuring the new survivor Tae-Young and an exciting new map. While this update doesn't introduce a new killer, it shines a spotlight on the K-pop inspired killer, The Trickster, who now has a distinct female counterpart known as Mina.
Mina functions as an alternative cosmetic skin for Ji-Woon Hak (The Trickster), meaning she shares his inherent abilities. However, she boasts her own unique backstory and a dedicated voice set. Mina is depicted as a "virtual K-Pop idol" whose concept was developed by Kwon Tae-Young, under the directive of his record label. Her persona and talents are directly inspired by The Trickster's personality and artistic flair. Upon discovering what was being created, Ji-Woon became enraged and attempted to eliminate the young producer. Instead, Ji-Woon was absorbed by the Entity's Fog. Waking in the Entity's realm, Tae-Young discovers that his digital creation, Mina, has unsettlingly come to life and now seeks his demise.
Players interested in delving deeper into the intricate narratives of these characters can explore the official Dead by Daylight webtoon. Furthermore, a music video incorporating elements of the story was released to celebrate the launch of this new chapter.
A significant highlight for players is Mina's in-game appearance. To unlock and play as Mina, players must first have The Trickster killer unlocked in their roster, and then purchase the Mina skin for 1755 Auric Cells.
An exclusive Memento Mori animation is also available for this skin, showcasing Mina's unique and stylized execution.
To commemorate Mina's introduction as The Trickster's female counterpart in Dead by Daylight, players had the opportunity to earn several free cosmetic items between March 17 and March 31, 2026. This promotion required linking a game account to Twitch and watching eligible streams for specific durations to unlock rewards:
- Mina Figurine Charm – Awarded after watching for one hour
- 'Dead End' Banner – Awarded after watching for three hours
- Kwon Tae-Young Hoodie – Awarded after watching for six hours
