Kadokawa has officially confirmed the production of a second season for the anime adaptation of I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World (also known by its Japanese title, Isekai de Cheat Skill o Te ni Shita Ore wa, Genjitsu Sekai o mo Musōsuru). This highly anticipated announcement was made during the second day of AnimeJapan 2026 and comes as a testament to the success of the series, which is based on the popular light novels written by Miku and illustrated by Rein Kuwashima.

Before the premiere of the new episodes, a special television program is scheduled to stream on various platforms on March 29, 2026. This special broadcast will serve as a prelude to the franchise's much-awaited return to the screen. Story Overview

However, even the most resilient individuals have their breaking point.

Just as he reaches the limits of his endurance, a ray of hope appears in the form of a hidden door in his bathroom. This mysterious portal provides bidirectional access to an abandoned house situated in another world. Upon discovering it, Yuuya instantly gains game-like statistics and powerful, unique skills. Additionally, the house once belonged to a wise sage, granting Yuuya access to extraordinary weapons, equipment, and specialized crops with exceptional effects. Armed with these newfound blessings, the formerly downtrodden Yuuya begins to unlock his true potential, transforming into an unstoppable force.
