Overwatch players are still adapting to the five new characters introduced in the current season, but another hero is already on the horizon. This upcoming addition is part of the five new characters slated for release throughout 2026, building upon the five that launched in February. A first look at the game's next heroine has now been revealed.
Through a post on the game's official social media accounts, it was revealed that the premiere of the next hero trailer, which will kick off the next chapter of the 'Talon Kingdom,' is set for Wednesday, April 8, 2026. The announcement was accompanied by an image that subtly hinted at a new, unknown character.
Behold her in all her glory. Overwatch's 51st hero and next character is a dark-skinned woman with East Asian features (likely Filipino or Thai), a long braided ponytail, and a military-style outfit complete with a red beret and green vest. Her appearance bears a striking resemblance to a certain character from Street Fighter.
As of this writing, no specific details about her, not even her name, have been revealed. However, it can be inferred that she will be a soldier. Her long-range rifle and the accompanying device (perhaps a reconnaissance drone?) offer clues about her potential role.
As previously mentioned, the special presentation where all details about this new Overwatch character will be revealed is scheduled for Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the following times:
