Beast of Reincarnation Lore Paintings Guide

In the initial nine maps of Beast of Reincarnation, hidden paintings (actually bas-reliefs) reveal crucial details about the game's lore. This guide will show you how to find them to unlock the 'Contemplate the Truth' achievement/trophy. In the same rooms as the paintings, you'll also find the 'Malefactor' figures that can be used as decorations in Bauera.

Ogouchi Security Area

At the location marked on the map, you'll find the entrance to a cave containing the first lore painting of the game.

Ancient Civilization Zone

After defeating the Nushi Lacerta for the first time, you'll find a mural on the other side of the crater left by the fleeing enemy.

Great Wall Terraces

Following your first victory against the Malefactor Nue, explore the area west of the combat arena. Use a shot through the grate to detonate a pot, opening a path to the other side of the camp. Then, cross from the other side and drop into the hole to discover another mural.

Pilgrim's Zone

East of the massive stone building in the middle of the map, there's a ground-level cave that holds the painting.

Matsukawa Zone

While traversing the cave on your way to the colony, after an obligatory fight against several Malefactors, you'll find the painting next to a mural in the northern section.

Fuji Border Zone

Upon reaching this area, climb atop the statue. Proceed through the cave, and at its end, you'll find another lore mural.

Great Tree Zone

From Tram Station #2 Camp, look east to find a ruined building. Inside, you'll discover the painting containing lore clues for Beast of Reincarnation.

Inukami River Zone

Located in the northeastern part of the map. It's recommended to retrieve the mural after defeating the Scarlet Malefactor to make the subsequent guardian fight easier.

Craters Zone

West of the central crater, you'll find a small cavern containing both the final lore painting and a Guardian Golem.
