Akali in 2XKO is defined as a rushdown character, featuring a moveset designed to exert relentless pressure on opponents. This enables her to execute effective mix-ups to break through defenses. Her aerial mobility is exceptional, allowing her to instantly teleport from mid-air to the ground. This capability facilitates immediate transitions into low attacks, catching opponents off guard who might expect high blocks after a jump.
Among her other offensive tools, Akali utilizes a flurry of kunais as projectiles. Unlike traditional zoning tools, these kunais are intended as a supportive resource to close distances and approach opponents safely, rather than for long-range spatial control.
A distinctive ability in Akali's arsenal is her smoke bomb. This grants a unique advantage: while Akali moves within the smoke screen, she can pass through enemy projectiles without taking damage. This feature is exceptionally useful against characters reliant on ranged attacks, allowing Akali to neutralize opponent pressure and reclaim the initiative for close-quarters combat.
