Capcom has unveiled the first official trailer for Ingrid, the enigmatic character set to conclude the third season of downloadable content (DLC) for Street Fighter 6. Ingrid, a mysterious figure within Capcom’s fighting game universe, will make her appearance in the game’s World Tour mode.

When Will Ingrid Join Street Fighter 6?

The trailer indicates that Ingrid will join the Street Fighter 6 roster in late spring in the Northern Hemisphere. This places her anticipated arrival between the second and third week of June 2026. Her addition will not only complete the third season but is also expected to mark the beginning of the fourth year of content for Street Fighter 6.

Who is Ingrid, the Enigmatic Figure of Street Fighter 6?

Ingrid, the last character of Street Fighter 6 Season 3

Ingrid first appeared in Capcom Fighting Jam and Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX, though she was initially conceived as “Isis,” a “Code Holder” for the canceled project Capcom Fighting All Stars. Despite her youthful appearance with silver hair and Victorian attire, Ingrid is an ancient being, a deity known as the “Eternal Goddess.”

Her primary power is Psycho Power, but unlike the corrupted and malicious version used by M. Bison, Ingrid’s is the pure, original source of this energy. She claims to be the true owner of this power, viewing Bison as a mere thief incapable of wielding such magnitude.

Beyond her immense strength, Ingrid possesses psychic abilities superior to those of Rose, enabling her to know strangers’ names and foresee destinies. Her most exceptional trait is the ability to travel through time, allowing her to observe human events from an external perspective. Consequently, her interventions often portray her as an observer or a judge, as suggested by her role as the creator of Pandora’s Box in the Street Fighter × Tekken storyline.

Despite her formidable potential, which could even purify Ryu’s Satsui no Hado, her presence in the official Street Fighter canon is often debated and considered non-canonical. She functions more as a “deus ex machina,” appearing and disappearing between dimensions, leaving behind more questions than answers about her true purpose in the universe.
