After a year sidelined due to a torn ACL sustained in the spring of 2025, Marine Fauthoux is making her WNBA debut. As a rookie with the Liberty, she is currently on a ‘development player’ contract.
During her recent on-court time, the Pau-born player attempted two shots and secured two rebounds. Her teammate Pauline Astier continued her strong performance with 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists, while Marine Johannes contributed 8 points and 4 rebounds.
Joining the three players from the Liberty, the total number of French athletes in the WNBA this season reaches thirteen. These players include Gabby Williams and Janelle Salaün (Golden State), Monique Akoa Makani (who also holds Cameroonian citizenship), Noémie Brochant and Valériane Ayayi (Phoenix), Leila Lacan and Nell Angloma (Connecticut), Dominique Malonga (Seattle), Carla Leite (Portland), and Tima Pouye (Toronto).
