Preview Hideo Kojima Immortalized as Nendoroid Figure

At the Good Smile Fest 2026, Good Smile Company announced that Japanese game designer and developer Hideo Kojima, a noted film enthusiast, will be the next celebrity to be transformed into a Nendoroid figure. The creator of Metal Gear and former director of the Konami franchise will join Big Boss and Solid Snake with his own Nendoroid, allowing fans to assemble their own collection, perhaps even with a more mature Eva figure.

Kojima’s Nendoroid was showcased in a painted prototype phase, suggesting that pre-orders will likely open in the coming weeks. This reveal follows similar announcements of figures for personalities such as Masako Nozawa (the Japanese voice of Goku) and Stan Lee.

The Hideo Kojima figure will feature him wearing a black t-shirt adorned with the Kojima Productions mascot, Ludens. This announcement coincides with the confirmation of a Figma figure in development for Sam Porter Bridges from Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, featuring the likeness of actor Norman Reedus. Sam himself already has a Nendoroid figure, equipped with packages for delivery.

Kojima joins a diverse roster of Nendoroid figures that includes artists and actors like Bruce Lee, and musicians such as BTS members and Hyde. While he is not the first non-gaming personality to receive this honor, he is notable as the first video game developer to get his own Nendoroid. This raises the question of whether Nintendo might consider figures for Shigeru Miyamoto or even the late former president Satoru Iwata.

The Hideo Kojima Nendoroid and the Sam Porter Bridges Figma figure from Death Stranding 2: On the Beach are currently in production with no release date announced yet. The sequel to Death Stranding is currently available on PS5 and PC. For those interested, you can learn how Nendoroids are made by following this link.
