Players who have been enjoying creating Mii characters, playing matchmaker, and enhancing their virtual lives on a tropical island in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream may be pleased to learn about the new 1.0.2 update for Nintendo Switch. According to Nintendo’s latest financial report, over 60% of players are on the Switch, with the remainder on the Switch 2 (using backward compatibility).

While this update doesn’t introduce new gameplay elements, it includes numerous fixes and minor improvements to enhance the overall player experience. Additionally, a misplaced image has been corrected.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream Update 1.0.2 Details

  • Addressed an issue where the game could sometimes become unprogressible after the player constructed their island.
  • Resolved a problem where the game might not advance when switching to the exterior of a house built in the Design Workshop.
  • Fixed a bug where attempting to save after a Mii character successfully confessed their feelings could result in a “Your save data is corrupted” message, preventing saving.
  • Corrected an issue where trying to save after multiple Mii characters began living together could trigger a “Data is corrupted” message, making saving impossible.
  • Solved a problem that occasionally caused an error and game stoppage when changing scenes.
  • Fixed a bug where players could save the Fountain of Wishes using the Island Builder but were unable to place it back on the island afterward, thus preventing wishes from being granted.
  • Addressed an issue where a Mii character’s crush on another Mii would disappear if they failed to reconcile after a fight.
  • Resolved a problem where a Mii character would not feel better even after their sadness subsided.
  • Fixed an issue preventing players from sending or receiving items in local multiplayer mode. The game incorrectly used an image of the Southern Flying Squirrel to represent the ‘Sugar Glider’ treasure, which has now been corrected to the appropriate image.
  • Other minor issues have been fixed to improve the overall gameplay experience.
