Preview Quinn Ellis Poised for NCAA Switch from Milan, Eyeing $5M Offers

Despite signing him to a multi-year deal last summer, the Italian club had hoped to secure the long-term services of Quinn Ellis, who emerged as an EuroLeague revelation. In his debut season in the competition, Ellis impressively averaged 8.4 points, 4.2 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and a Performance Index Rating (PIR) of 10.9.

However, sources indicate that Quinn Ellis has already garnered significant interest from elite NCAA programs such as Duke and Louisville. Both universities are reportedly eager to integrate him into their roster as a key player for the upcoming season. Other top universities are also pursuing the British guard, with reported offers ranging from $4 million to $5 million before taxes.

Discussions are reportedly underway with Ellis’s representatives concerning a new agreement that would secure his return to Milan after his NCAA tenure. Given his age, he is likely to be eligible for only one season in collegiate basketball. This implies that, theoretically, Ellis could be back in Italy by spring 2027, unless he secures an NBA opportunity after his college season, which remains his ultimate goal.

Although Quinn Ellis holds a British passport, he is classified as an Italian-trained player. This designation comes from having spent at least three seasons within the Italian youth development system, allowing him to be counted as a local player in the domestic league.
