PAOK Thessaloniki, bolstered by the financial backing of billionaire Telis Mistakidis, is making ambitious moves. Despite Nick Calathes being 37 years old, the club is reportedly offering the American-Greek player a two-year contract valued at a total of €1.8 million, according to Sport 24.

Nicholas “Nick” William Calathes has a notable history in European basketball, having spent eight seasons with Panathinaikos. He later had stints with Barcelona, Fenerbahçe, and Monaco, but struggled to establish himself at those clubs. This past season, he primarily played for Partizan Belgrade, averaging 4.3 points, 4.2 assists, and 2.5 rebounds.

With Greek paternal grandparents who emigrated to Florida, Calathes has represented Greece internationally since obtaining his Greek passport in June 2008.
