Prepare to return to the frozen, post-apocalyptic Russian landscapes inspired by Dmitry Glukhovsky’s novels. It’s been confirmed that a new game in the Metro series is on the horizon, and 4A Games, with the support of Xbox, is ready to unveil it. A special presentation dedicated to Metro 2039 is scheduled soon. Here’s everything you need to know about the date, time, and how to tune in so you don’t miss out.
The presentation will take place on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the following times:
- Mexico: 11:00 a.m.
- Colombia, Peru, Ecuador: 12:00 p.m.
- Argentina, Chile: 2:00 p.m.
- Spain: 6:00 p.m.
You can watch the reveal live on Xbox’s official YouTube channel. The stream will feature subtitles in multiple languages, including Latin American Spanish and European Spanish.
Metro 2039 will be the fourth main entry in the series, following Metro 2033 (2010), Metro: Last Light (2013), and Metro Exodus (2019). The franchise also includes two spin-offs: Metro Redux (2014), a remastered collection of the first two games, and Metro Awakening (2024), a virtual reality exclusive.
While further details about this new installment are scarce, this presentation is expected to shed more light on it. Although Xbox is hosting the reveal, the game is anticipated to be released on PlayStation 5 and PC as well.
