Recent leaks have revealed three new LEGO Pokémon sets, and further images from @the_brick_news on Twitter/X confirm these and many more, showcasing various Pokémon scenarios. The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company are set to release these building sets in August 2026, featuring the interactive Smart Play technology with lights and sounds. While not officially announced, these construction sets promise an enhanced play experience.
A larger Poké Ball set, surpassing the original Pikachu one, is expected to be released between August and October.
Arcanine Set
The standalone LEGO Pokémon Arcanine set is scheduled for an August release with a price of $110 USD, joining previously released sets featuring Eevee, Pikachu, Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise.
LEGO Pokémon Sets with Smart Play
The “Pikachu Training House” set is an all-in-one LEGO Pokémon experience that includes four Smart Play tags and a Smart Brick accessory for activating lights and sounds. This accessory, usually sold separately, can be wirelessly charged via a yellow USB base, reminiscent of Pikachu.
The LEGO Pokémon set “Mewtwo’s Laboratory Escape” transports players to the origins of the legendary Pokémon on Cinnabar Island. It features a destroyed laboratory capsule within the Pokémon Mansion, where Mewtwo was cloned from Mew, along with a Master Ball and a Smart Play tag (but no Smart Brick).
The “Eevee and Lapras Treasure Hunt” set includes the titular Pokémon, a map, a raft, a stranded boat, and three Smart Play tags, but no Smart Brick.
In the “Mew Mythical Search with Drone” set, players will find ruins possibly located in Guyana, as per the original Pokémon lore. This set comes with a Hyper Ball, the aforementioned drone, and the mythical Mew. It also includes three Smart Play tags but lacks a Smart Brick.
The “Cubone and Gengar Ghostly Duel” LEGO Pokémon set, one of the previously leaked items, includes an Ultra Ball and four Smart Play tags, without a Smart Brick.
The “Charmander and Geodude Cave Clash” LEGO Pokémon set only comes with two Smart Play tags and no Smart Brick.
“Jigglypuff’s Concert” is a smaller LEGO Pokémon set featuring a single Smart Play tag. Players will need a separate Smart Brick to activate its features, as it’s not included.
A significant new set for August is “Charizard vs. Jolteon Ultimate Battle.” This all-in-one set is noteworthy for including two Smart Bricks (one for each Pokémon) for battle sound effects, along with four Smart Play tags.
The “Squirtle Trainer’s Buggy Adventure” LEGO Pokémon set includes two Smart Play tags but no Smart Brick. It does, however, come with a hamburger accessory.
Finally, the “Umbreon vs. Garchomp Championship Battle” LEGO Pokémon set features two Smart Play tags without a Smart Brick, a championship cup, and the beloved Pokémon.
Pricing for these LEGO Pokémon sets with Smart Play technology has not yet been released.
