Sandro Tonali's Agent Confirms Interest from Elite Premier League Clubs, Citing "Target" Achieved
Beppe Riso, agent for Sandro Tonali, expressed gratitude to Newcastle United and its supporters for their unwavering backing of the Italian midfielder, while simultaneously confirming that elite Premier League clubs have shown interest in his client.
Speaking to Calcio&Finanza, Riso lauded Tonali as a "champion," emphasizing his exceptional character both on and off the field. "Our vision was to elevate Sandro's career to the highest level, and it was an intriguing prospect," Riso explained. "Despite the challenges that arose later [referring to the betting ban], the move proved to be a successful decision. Newcastle's fans and the club showed immense support for Sandro, standing by him through everything."
When asked if Tonali is now a target for Premier League title contenders, Riso affirmed: "Precisely, this was our objective. He is undoubtedly on their radar and performing exceptionally well." He elaborated, "Our long-term goal and vision when deciding on the move to Newcastle was to transform Sandro into a stellar player – the most valuable Italian player."

Tonali's transfer to Newcastle from AC Milan in summer 2023 was valued at over €70 million.
Last week, the Italian midfielder contributed a goal and an assist in the Azzurri's 2-0 victory against Northern Ireland in the World Cup play-off semifinal. However, Italy subsequently missed out on World Cup qualification for the third consecutive time, suffering a penalty shootout defeat to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the final.

This season, Tonali has registered three goals and seven assists across 47 appearances for Newcastle. His current contract at St. James' Park is set to expire in June 2028.
