Multiple reports indicate that Juventus are in the final stages of agreeing a €20 million transfer for Bologna defender Jhon Lucumi, a figure that includes potential bonuses. The Colombian international has reportedly turned down all other offers, prioritizing a move to Turin.

It was previously understood that Lucumi had already reached personal terms with Juventus, expressing a clear preference for the Italian giants over potential opportunities in the Premier League, La Liga, or the Turkish Super Lig.

Lucumi's Sole Focus: Juventus

This evening, major Italian sports news outlets including Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia, Tuttomercatoweb, and renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano have confirmed that a preliminary agreement has been struck between the two clubs following extensive negotiations throughout the day.

The transfer fee is expected to be in the region of €17-18 million, with additional add-ons bringing the total value of the deal to €20 million.

This figure is somewhat lower than Bologna's initial expectations, even after the expiration of Lucumi's €28 million release clause. The club had reportedly been aiming for a fee closer to €25 million.

However, Sportitalia notes that Bologna recognized Lucumi's unwavering desire to join Juventus. He is said to have rejected five other proposals to ensure his future lay with the Bianconeri.

Given that Lucumi's contract at the Stadio Dall'Ara was set to expire at the end of the current season, Bologna found themselves in a less advantageous negotiating position.

The final details of the transfer are currently being ironed out, and the Colombian international is anticipated to undergo his medical examinations within the next 24 to 48 hours.
