Inter Coach Chivu Assures Bastoni's Full Commitment Amidst Barcelona Rumors and World Cup Fallout

Inter coach Cristian Chivu has suggested that Alessandro Bastoni might be considering a move away from Inter and Italy, possibly to Barcelona, following a recent World Cup qualification setback. Despite the speculation, Chivu expressed confidence, stating, "I am sure he will give more than 100 percent for us, regardless of whether he stays for two months or a couple of years."

The recent international break saw several Inter players represent their respective nations. However, five of them returned with significant disappointment after Italy failed to secure its place in the upcoming World Cup.

Alessandro Bastoni, in particular, faced widespread criticism from both media and supporters following his red card in Italy's World Cup play-off final against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Chivu Bolsters Bastoni's Morale

During his press conference, Chivu emphasized, "I am working with exceptional champions, particularly on a human level, who have consistently demonstrated their ability to recover from difficult setbacks."
