Donnarumma: World's Best Goalkeeper?
Gianluigi Donnarumma's crucial saves earned him praise from French and Italian media after Italy's 1-1 Nations League draw against France. We're asking if you believe the Manchester City keeper is currently the top goalkeeper globally.
Donnarumma was named Italy's man of the match in the post-game ratings following the draw in France. His saves kept the Azzurri in contention while facing pressure from Zinedine Zidane's team.
French newspapers indicated the outcome might have been different without Donnarumma in Italy's goal.
Italian outlets celebrated Donnarumma's performance. La Gazzetta dello Sport even placed him at the top of their world goalkeeper rankings published Saturday.
La Gazzetta dello Sport's current form ranking is as follows:
- Gianluigi Donnarumma (Manchester City/Italy)
- Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid/Belgium)
- Unai Simon (Athletic Club/Spain)
- David Raya (Arsenal/Spain)
- Mike Maignan (Milan/France)
- Mile Svilar (Roma/Belgium)
- Joan Garcia (Barcelona/Spain)
- Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid/Slovenia)
- Gregory Kobel (Borussia Dortmund/Switzerland)
- Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich/Germany)
