Nintendo has expanded its Virtual Boy collection for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members, adding five classic titles. These new additions follow the release of Mario’s Tennis and Mario Clash in March. The five newly available Virtual Boy games are:
- V-Tetris
- Jack Bros.
- Space Invaders Virtual Collection
- Virtual Bowling
- Vertical Force
In Japan, Virtual Fishing has also been added alongside these five titles.
However, to experience these games as originally intended, players will need a Virtual Boy viewer accessory for their Switch or Switch 2 (either the plastic or cardboard version). Without one of these viewers, playing the games in their intended 3D stereoscopic format, which splits the display into two miniature screens, is not possible. The experience aims to replicate the original console’s unique presentation, even the Nintendo Labo VR kit is compatible with the Virtual Boy application if you happen to own one.
