King Art Games, the developer behind Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV, is offering a deep dive into the game's multiplayer mode with two 'Battlefield Report' videos. These videos showcase the distinct playstyles of the game's four factions. Creative Director Jan Theysen and Senior Game Designer Elliott Verbiest engage in two 1v1 multiplayer matches, highlighting the unique identities of each faction in Dawn of War IV. This provides players with insight into the specialized approaches required for victory with each army. The game is set for release on September 17th on PC via Steam.

The Adeptus Mechanicus excels at expanding their powerful Noospheric Network, fortifying key positions with superior technology, and establishing devastating defensive firing lines. In contrast, the relentless Necrons methodically advance their Pylon Matrix across the battlefield, regenerating losses through resurrection protocols and overwhelming opponents with unyielding pressure.

The Space Marines, an elite and adaptable force, are pitted against the Orks, who are driven by sheer momentum. This particular battle emphasizes the contrast between overwhelming firepower and numerical superiority. Space Marines can obliterate opposing forces with their battlefield discipline and raw strength, while the Orks, through sheer numbers and aggressive rushes, become an unstoppable tide.

From resilient defensive networks to unstoppable mechanical legions, each faction in Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV offers a distinct path to victory.

Players who purchase the Commander Edition will gain access to the game three days early, starting September 14th. Post-launch, Year One content will include free updates, featuring the return of the Crusade mode, new maps, additional game modes, new commanders, and a mission editor. Additionally, two major story expansions are planned, which will delve deeper into the conflict on Kronus and introduce a new playable faction to the battlefield.

  • Adeptus Mechanicus: Focuses on technology, superior defense, and building strong firing lines through their Noospheric Network.
  • Necrons: Emphasizes methodical advancement, battlefield control with their Pylon Matrix, and resilience through resurrection.
  • Space Marines: An elite, disciplined force relying on overwhelming firepower and absolute strength.
  • Orks: A horde-based faction driven by momentum, aggressive rushes, and overwhelming numbers.
