The second season of The Elusive Samurai is set to premiere in July 2026. The announcement was accompanied by a new visual that introduces key characters for the upcoming arc, such as Sasaki Mima.

Tokiyuki Houjou, an eight-year-old noble, enjoys a carefree life in Kamakura, skillfully avoiding the serious responsibilities of becoming the next shogún. He excels in the art of evasion rather than combat. However, his peaceful existence is shattered when a sudden coup brutally annihilates his clan.
Overwhelmed by guilt as the sole survivor, Tokiyuki contemplates joining his family in death. Yet, his fate takes an abrupt turn when the enigmatic priest Yorishige Suwa thrusts him onto the battlefield, prophesying that Tokiyuki will one day become a great hero. Forced to fight for survival against enemy soldiers, Tokiyuki discovers a new thrill in this life-or-death game of hide-and-seek.
