Christian Pulisic, the AC Milan and USMNT standout, finds himself in an extended scoring slump, having failed to net a goal since the start of 2026, despite an impressive beginning to the current season.
The 27-year-old winger began the campaign in formidable fashion for his club, registering eight goals and two assists across his first 11 Serie A matches. However, his fortunes have since reversed dramatically. Over the subsequent 13 Serie A fixtures, all occurring in 2026, Pulisic has managed only a single assist and remains without a goal.

A key factor in his dip in performance appears to be his fitness, as the American international has struggled with full match readiness since January. He has completed the full 90 minutes in only three games while coming off the bench five times during this period. His struggles intensified after missing a Serie A game against Bologna in February due to bursitis, and he has consistently performed below his accustomed high standards since that setback.
The March international break offered no respite, as Pulisic featured twice for the USMNT but failed to find the back of the net in their losses to Belgium and Portugal.

His most recent outing saw him enter as a substitute for Milan in the final 15 minutes of their 1-0 away defeat to Napoli. This loss, Milan’s fourth in Serie A this season, leaves the Rossoneri in third place, trailing league leaders Inter by nine points.
