A prominent chess organization recently announced an exciting initiative to offer complimentary online chess webinars, aiming to deliver enhanced value and learning opportunities for its members.

These engaging sessions are designed as entirely virtual events, utilizing platforms such as Zoom, in acknowledgement of current limitations on in-person gatherings.

A stimulating series of webinars is scheduled for Mondays throughout May, taking place from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM PDT. The comprehensive program features:

  • May 4: Chouchanik Airapetian will host a special session tailored for children, focusing on the crucial topic of “How to choose the right move in the middle game.” Young participants are encouraged to join in their pajamas and bring along their favorite plush friend!
  • May 11: Josh Sinanan will lead an insightful discussion on effective strategies for competing against higher-rated opponents.
  • May 18: Alex Machin will conclude the May series, providing a valuable player’s perspective on common blunders and missed opportunities encountered during a game.

Participation in these expert-led webinars is free for members of the organizing body. For non-members, a fee of $10 applies. Advance registration via an online portal is required to secure your spot for these educational events.

Further engaging online content and additional webinar series are anticipated to be announced in the near future.
