Preview Unannounced LEGO Pokémon Sets Feature Smart Play Technology

LEGO’s Smart Brick technology, initially introduced with the Star Wars line in March, is set to expand into upcoming LEGO Pokémon sets. These new interactive sets will likely follow the previously released Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Pikachu with Poké Ball, and Eevee collections. A Kanto Medal set, while not available for purchase, can be assembled using traditional LEGO bricks.

Images of three new, unannounced LEGO Pokémon sets have surfaced on the Legoleak subreddit, a reliable source for LEGO leaks. These images suggest the inclusion of LEGO’s Smart Play technology, which offers interactive lights and sounds.

The New LEGO Pokémon Smart Play Sets Include:

Charmander and Geodude Cave Clash

This set appears to depict an interaction between Charmander and Geodude in a cave environment.

Jigglypuff Concert

This set focuses on Jigglypuff, potentially showcasing its singing abilities.

Cubone and Gengar Ghostly Duel

This set features a spectral battle between Cubone and Gengar.

Box art illustrations indicate that these sets will include tags to activate the Smart Play features, but the Smart Brick itself will be sold separately. The Smart Brick can be wirelessly charged via a USB base.

The Smart Brick is expected to trigger specific sounds and effects for each set, such as Charmander and Geodude’s actions, Jigglypuff’s song, and Cubone and Gengar’s attacks. Further details, including official release dates and pricing, are anticipated upon LEGO’s official announcement.
