Developer GSC Game World has released a new content update for Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Titled “Sealed Truth”, this update introduces a new narrative thread within the lore of the X labs, one of the most iconic locations in the franchise’s mythology. This content has been distributed for free as a token of appreciation to the player base and serves as a prelude to the announcement of the first major paid expansion, titled “Cost of Hope”, which is scheduled for release in the third quarter of 2026.

The central focus of this update is access to the lower levels of Lab X-18. This new mission is activated through a new storyline involving Diod, a technician located in the area known as Slag Heap. Skif must collaborate with this character to infiltrate facilities that were previously sealed. The primary objective of the mission is not solely to obtain supplies, but to recover specific information required by Diod. This update operates on a high-risk, high-reward dynamic, where players who complete the incursion into Lab X-18 can earn monetary payments, useful gear for survival in the Zone, and narrative data that expands technical knowledge about the experiments conducted in these facilities.
