JDA Dijon "Not Ruling Out" Legal Action Against Juhann Begarin
An incident during the match between Monaco and JDA Dijon, involving Juhann Begarin and Quentin Losser, quickly gained traction on social media this Sunday. With less than two minutes remaining in the game, a heated altercation saw Begarin strike Losser, leaving the Dijon player bleeding from his eyebrow and forcing him to exit the court.
In an interview with Le Bien Public, Fabien Romeyer, JDA Dijon's sports director, announced that the club is reserving its right to pursue legal action against the French guard. "We will meet and make a decision, but we are not ruling anything out," he stated. He also provided an update on his center's condition.
"He has a doctor's appointment for an evaluation. Monaco's medical team applied stitches above his eyebrow. [...] This is a gesture you never want to see on a sports field. It's the complete opposite of all our values. We are both shocked and surprised."
For his part, Begarin publicly apologized on social media, but it remains uncertain if this will be enough to ease tensions with Dijon.
