Preview Pio Esposito’s Agent: ‘He wants to stay at Inter for the next 10 years’

Francesco Pio Esposito’s agent has stated that the young Italian international wishes to “stay with Inter for the next 10 years,” emphasizing that there will be no transfer market activity for him. Esposito, a product of Inter’s youth academy and formerly coached by Cristian Chivu, has had a breakout season.

After an impressive loan spell at Spezia in Serie B, the decision was made to keep him as one of the four strikers with the senior squad, where he has thrived. Despite attracting interest from foreign clubs like Newcastle United and Arsenal, the 20-year-old is reportedly not looking to leave.

Pio Esposito: A Valued Asset for Inter

“Pio is happy at Inter, and I believe both the player and the club want to stay together for the next 10 years,” agent Mario Giuffredi told reporters at the Inside the Sport 2026 event at Coverciano. “Thinking about the transfer market for Pio Esposito, unless the club initiates it, is not something that I or the player are planning to do. For us, Pio’s transfer market has not started and never will start, because there will be no transfer market for him. He is happy to remain with the Nerazzurri.”

Esposito has contributed significantly, scoring nine goals and providing six assists in 43 competitive games for Inter. His form has also earned him a place in the Italy squad, where he has scored three goals in seven caps.

“I think we have exceeded all expectations for him this season,” Giuffredi concluded. Reports from October indicated that Inter were prepared to reject offers of €50 million for the striker and were working on a new, improved contract. His current agreement was signed in April 2025 and runs until June 2030.
