BeXide, the developer and publisher, has announced Namco Legendary Mountains for PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, and the upcoming Switch 2. The game is slated for a mid-year release, with the exact date yet to be confirmed. Namco Legendary Mountains shares gameplay similarities with titles such as 2048 and Suika Game, where players combine icons to create larger ones. However, its distinctive feature is its 3D environment and its embrace of Namco’s rich retro legacy and characters.
Players will launch, stack, and merge voxels. The core gameplay involves tossing voxel capsules onto the board; when two voxels of the same type collide, they merge into a larger one. The objective is to keep them within the play area and prevent them from falling off. Immerse yourself in classic Namco titles with unique stages and sounds. In addition to a main stage that blends elements from various games, players can experience dedicated stages inspired by titles like Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Xevious, Mappy, and The Tower of Druaga. Beyond the visuals, the iconic music is set to elevate the gaming experience.
Collect over 100 unique voxels, assemble your favorite team, and enjoy a fully personalized experience. You can also create your own gallery, arranging it freely to recreate cherished memories or the ultimate crossover universe. Compete in online leaderboards against players worldwide to claim the top spot.
