This impressive showing contributes to her season averages of 15.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists over the first five games of the season.

Despite a strong effort from New York’s Breanna Stewart, who recorded 25 points, 17 rebounds, three steals, and a block, her team couldn’t secure the win. The Liberty struggled with turnovers, committing four in the opening two minutes of the fourth quarter, leading to a total of 19. A 10-point lead dwindled to a single point on multiple occasions before Portland, the Fire, took control of the game with 3 minutes and 36 seconds remaining and never relinquished their advantage.
