Most Valuable Promotions recently revealed that Mike Perry, known as BKFC’s ‘King of Violence,’ is set to face Nate Diaz, the originator of the UFC’s ‘BMF’ belt, on the highly anticipated Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano fight card.
Although the announcement was made only days ago, the organizers had been developing this matchup for several months.
“This has been brewing for some time,” Perry stated during his appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show. “You might have seen glimpses of me training MMA on social media. Discussions were ongoing, and various names were considered. I believe once the ‘White House card’ was finalized, everything started falling into place… Many are eagerly anticipating this bout, with some even calling it the true main event for the fans.”
He added, “It will undoubtedly be an electrifying fight. I’m pushing myself incredibly hard in training, fueled by an inner drive to perform at my peak for this occasion. I’m excited to showcase that to everyone watching.”
Perry is slated to compete in the inaugural MMA event to be broadcast on Netflix, promising an audience significantly larger than any he’s encountered before. This event is also set to bring him the most substantial earnings of his nearly 22-year career in combat sports.
When directly asked if this fight represents his highest career earnings, Perry unequivocally confirmed, “Absolutely, for sure.”
He elaborated, “The upcoming fight is invariably the best one, and this is it. I’ve consistently maintained that for two decades, I swear. I’m grateful to Nate for facilitating this matchup. We’re going to collide, and that’s a fantastic reward for all the dedication throughout my career.”
With the fight agreements officially signed, Perry expressed relief, confident that the bout will indeed proceed, highlighting Nate Diaz’s reputation for never withdrawing from scheduled fights.
“Nate Diaz and his team are known for not pulling out of fights,” Perry affirmed. “Therefore, this is a certainty, as I also commit fully. We’ll be there on May 16th for an MMA fight, and I intend to be incredibly destructive.”
