Nanterre’s Mathis Dossou-Yovo will be sidelined for the remainder of the current season. The club has announced that the evolution of his injury will prevent him from returning to the court. The entire club expresses its full support for Dossou-Yovo and will be with him daily to aid in his rehabilitation.
To address his absence, Nanterre has already secured a replacement player who is expected to debut tomorrow against Cholet. An official announcement regarding the new signing will be made later this afternoon.
Prior to his injury, Dossou-Yovo was enjoying a standout season. His impressive performance earned him a spot in the Betclic Elite’s starting five for the season and made him a candidate for the Most Improved Player award. He also earned a call-up to the French national team during the November window.
In 20 Betclic Elite games, Dossou-Yovo averaged 17.8 points with a 58.8% field goal percentage, 7.3 rebounds, in an average of 24 minutes per game.
