Jaylen Hoard, who joined Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2024 from Hapoel Tel Aviv, has secured a significant three-year contract extension. This move underscores the team’s commitment to continuity for upcoming seasons, under the leadership of coach Oded Kattash, whose own contract was also extended for the same duration. Hoard, a forward born in Le Havre, is a vital player for the team and considered one of the top talents in the EuroLeague.
“I am thrilled to continue my journey with Maccabi Tel Aviv for three more years,” said Jaylen Hoard on the official website. “My time here has been incredible, and I want to keep improving every day, becoming a better player and helping Maccabi win Israeli League and EuroLeague titles. I want to thank my teammates, coaches, management, and owners for their trust and support, as well as all the Maccabi fans.”
The club emphasized their significant efforts to secure Hoard’s contract extension at this stage of the season, especially given the growing interest from other EuroLeague teams. Hoard is the only player on the roster to have participated in all of his team’s EuroLeague games this season (35 starts out of 35) and has accumulated the most playing time for Maccabi (ranking 7th in the EuroLeague).
Hoard has also been a standout performer, leading the team in efficiency rating (16.1 per game), averaging 11.7 points per game, and finishing as a co-leader in EuroLeague rebounds with Nikola Milutinov (7.1 rebounds per game). In the Israeli Premier League, he has started every game and boasts the team’s highest efficiency rating (15.3). In the summer of 2025, the former NBA player represented France in the EuroBasket, where he averaged 8.4 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
