Fans of comics and fighting games are no strangers to the concepts of multiverses and alternate realities. In this vein, Skybound Games and Quarter Up have officially unveiled the story trailer for Invincible VS, a new 3v3 fighting game that promises to expand Robert Kirkman’s universe with an original narrative.
The Story of Invincible VS
Invincible VS will feature an original story separate from the main events of the comic book series and the television show. This narrative places players in the midst of a Viltrumite invasion of Earth, in a scenario where Omni-Man did not have a change of heart. Furthermore, the heroes find themselves trapped in an unprecedented location alongside a new original game character named Ella Mental, whose exact motives and plans remain unknown.

Additionally, the trailer offers a glimpse of numerous fights that will have their own cinematic cutscenes within the game’s story mode. Finally, the voice cast has been revealed. While J.K. Simmons reprises his role as Omni-Man, there are notable changes in the cast. For instance, Alex Le will replace Steven Yeun as the voice of Invincible. Le is previously recognized for voicing Luke in Street Fighter 6.

Invincible VS Release Date

Invincible VS, the tag-team fighting game, is scheduled for release on April 30, 2026, and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The trailer for Ella Mental also served to confirm the exact size of the game’s initial roster: 18 characters in total. Confirmed fighters so far include: Invincible, Atom Eve, Bulletproof, Thula, Rex Splode, Battle Beast, Omni-Man, Cecil, Monster Girl, and Robot. This leaves the revelation of the remaining seven characters pending.
