Preview How to Achieve Pragmata’s True Ending (No Spoilers)

Simply defeating the final boss in Pragmata isn’t enough to witness everything the game has to offer after the story concludes. Pragmata holds a hidden epilogue, its true ending, and in this brief guide, we’ll explain what you need to do to unlock it and truly understand what happened to Hugh and Diana, all without spoiling the plot.

Before we continue, we invite you to read our review of this title. We also have collectible guides for the Solar Power Plant, the Mass Production Matrix, and the Terradome.

The first step to unlocking Pragmata‘s true ending is to view the “incomplete” ending that plays out at the game’s conclusion. This means you need to play through the entire story normally, reaching and defeating the final boss.

After completing the game and watching the credits, a new game mode will be unlocked called Unidentified Signal. The next time you play, you’ll see the option to select this mode from the main menu. Choose it, then select the save file where you finished the game. You’ll find yourself back in the refuge, where you must speak with Cabin to start a new mission.

Following your conversation with Cabin, use the tram to travel to a newly discovered area called the Secret Chamber. There, you need to speak with Mega Cabin in the center of the room. They will assign you the mission to complete the 10 simulations located around the chamber.

Initially, these simulations will be locked until you meet the following requirements:

  1. Automatically unlocked
  2. Complete the Solar Power Plant 100%
  3. Defeat the upgraded version of the Solar Power Plant boss
  4. Complete the Mass Production Matrix 100%
  5. Defeat the upgraded version of the Mass Production Matrix
  6. Complete the Terradome 100%
  7. Defeat the upgraded version of the Terradome boss
  8. Complete the Lunum Mines 100%
  9. Defeat the upgraded version of the Lunum Mines boss
  10. Complete the Central Port area 100%

Each time you fulfill one of these requirements, you can return to the Secret Chamber to complete the corresponding trial.

Once all the requirements to unlock them are met and you have completed the 10 simulations in the Secret Chamber, you can claim the rewards found at the back of the room. However, there’s one more reward: a more powerful version of the final boss will appear.

You must return to the Central Port to defeat this empowered version of the enemy. Afterwards, the ending will play again, and everything will seem identical… until the very end, when you’ll hear a short epilogue that reveals something quite interesting.

Don’t expect Pragmata‘s true ending to be something spectacular or drastically different from the first ending; it’s merely an extra detail that adds to the intrigue.

Pragmata is an action-puzzle game developed by Capcom, available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
