The agile and alluring thief, Black Cat, is officially joining the game in Marvel Rivals with the release of Season 7.5. We now have confirmed details regarding her launch date, role, and abilities. This update also introduces a new PvE game mode and a special event inspired by the first Avengers movie, all in anticipation of the upcoming “Doomsday.”
Black Cat will be classified as a Duelist and will be available with the update on Friday, April 17, 2026.
This character will possess abilities such as a double jump, wall-climbing, the ability to lunge directly at an enemy, and a grappling hook to steal ‘Fortune’ from rivals. ‘Fortune’ can be used to enhance her combat skills or traded with the Golden Saint for coveted Marvel universe artifacts like the Zone Ring, Hades Helmet, and the Mento Fish, each granting unique advantages.
She will also have a team-up ability with White Fox and Captain America, enhancing spectral tail attacks and expanding the effect of their vibranium shields.
In addition to Black Cat, Season 7.5 of Marvel Rivals will feature a new PvE (player versus environment) game mode called Blood Hunt. In this mode, players will face Dracula’s vampires in waves, culminating in several boss encounters.
This limited-time game mode will be available starting Thursday, April 23, 2026.
Another special game mode arriving this season is Path to Doomsday – Phase 1. This will be an asymmetrical “Five versus One” mode where a team of five Avengers will battle against Loki, inspired by the 2012 Marvel Cinematic Universe film, The Avengers.
It will be playable starting Thursday, April 30, 2026.
Finally, the Hellfire Gala event will bring new elegant skins for characters like Magic, Moon Knight, Phoenix, and Gambit.
Additionally, there will be a new free skin for Emma Frost (the winner of the player vote from the previous Hellfire Gala), which can be obtained by playing matches.
