Mintrocket has announced that the “Dave the Diver: In the Jungle” DLC will be available on June 18th. Additionally, two new physical editions—the “Complete Edition” and the “Collector’s Edition”—are set to launch for PlayStation 5 and Switch 2.
The Complete Edition will include all previously released downloadable content, alongside “In the Jungle,” on a single disc or game card. The Collector’s Edition offers all that, plus an acrylic Bancho Sushi stand, four metallic badges, an acrylic keychain, a dolphin pendant necklace, two Marinca cards, a poster, and four postcards.
In “In the Jungle,” Dave ventures into entirely new territory, taking on fresh responsibilities in a freshwater environment. He’ll encounter locals, assist familiar friends, and explore uncharted waters within a picturesque jungle village teeming with both opportunities and dangers. The DLC provides approximately 10 hours of content, introducing novel encounters and mechanics that significantly diverge from the base game and previous downloadable content.
The Village of Utara
Welcome to Utara, a jungle village where time progresses in real-time. Here, Dave can spend his days freely diving, gathering fruits and resources, and building relationships with the inhabitants by completing tasks and side quests. As always, Dave finds himself surrounded by potential friends (and future customers) whose trust and patronage he must earn. As these relationships deepen, so do the rewards, unlocking new opportunities in Utara and creating a ripple effect that extends to Bancho’s restaurant business.
Bancho Grill: A New Restaurant Experience
One of the most significant new features in “In the Jungle” is the introduction of Bancho Grill, a new restaurant in Utara that boasts a full freshwater menu. Unlike Bancho Sushi, where movement was more confined, Dave can now move freely around the grill area, serving customers across multiple sections rather than being limited to a single horizontal plane. As Dave strengthens his bonds with the villagers, they will begin to frequent Bancho Grill as diners, making the restaurant a pivotal hub and a vital link between Dave and the community.
New Systems and Weaponry
This time, Dave dives into a vast freshwater lake instead of the familiar Blue Hole—an expanse brimming with new aquatic life, unexpected culinary options, and countless lurking dangers. These new waters necessitate new tools, and Mintrocket has unveiled Dave’s latest piece of equipment: the Jungle Gun. This versatile weapon can fluidly transform into net guns, shotguns, sniper rifles, or standard firearms, allowing Dave to adapt on the fly and granting players the freedom to experiment with their preferred combat styles.
“Dave the Diver” is currently available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch 2, Switch, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store).
