Marking 31 years since its initial release on Super Famicom, Square Enix has announced the “Chrono Trigger Orchestral Concert: Melodies Across Time” series, set to arrive in North America during the fall of 2026. Fans will have the opportunity to experience the show at the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York on October 10, The Auditorium in Chicago on October 14, and the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on October 18. A version of this concert was previously held in Japan last January. Tickets will be available through the official website.
Presale tickets will begin on March 11 at 10:00 am local time, coinciding with Chrono Trigger’s original release date in Japan. General ticket sales will commence on March 13 at 10:00 am local time for each city. Maestro Nicholas Buc will conduct the performances, which will be accompanied by in-game visuals.

The acclaimed RPG introduces Crono, a young man who, after a chance encounter with Lucca, a scientist’s daughter, and the discovery of a mysterious portal, finds himself thrust into an unexpected journey through time. As the group traverses various eras, from prehistoric times to a dystopian future, they forge bonds with memorable characters such as the cavewoman Ayla, the loyal robot companion Robo, and the noble frog knight Frog. Together, they uncover the truth behind Lavos and its impending threat to the planet.
Originally launched on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and later on PlayStation (with its noticeable loading times), Chrono Trigger also received an enhanced version for Nintendo DS that included additional content. Currently, besides mobile platforms, PC remains the only modern option for fans to enjoy this classic RPG. Despite this, rumors of a potential ‘remake’ have continued to circulate over the years.
